The star developed problems with his foot and ankle during his time in the popular television reality contest Dancing with the Stars. Bono declined any surgery or further treatments for his ankle.

He was struggling as it took him a long time to get out of the driver’s seat. The star was also seen wearing a foot brace to help secure his ankle and provide some slight comfort when walking. Bono claims that his recent 60-pound weight loss as well as the strenuous workouts that came with it caused more pain to his ankle. “It's taken a pounding” the star said.
